The serene environment.

Everything was clean and presented well. Reception was really welcoming and gave me an upgrade for free.

The bed was supper comfy, the blankets were quite thin

The staff were so welcoming on arrival and throughout our stay. The rooms are spacious with basic kitchen facilities and a lounge seating area for relaxing. Microwave, fridge and kettle provided. The bathroom was large with a spa bath and over bath shower. Be mindful if you have mobility issues climbing in op and out of the bath. No grab rails in place! The huge window to the outback provided amazing views.. though a little unsettling when showering before a huge picture window! Thankfully no kangaroos were around. Lovely toiletries too. The onsite restaurant was great for dinner. Limited menu but fine for a short stay. Meals were on the large size so we ended up sharing the pizza… and still didn’t manage it all. 😂 Despite being near the road we didn’t find the road noise a problem. In fact we were happy to hear and see the Indian Pacific arrive. A good balcony at the back ensured great shots of the sunsets. Table, chairs and outdoor lounge were a bonus.

Distance from the city around 15km… though we did know this when booking. Just be aware. Lack of breakfast onsite meant travelling or buying in food. There appeared to be a crack down the length of the window in the bathroom. Maybe it was the film attached though I wasn’t sure. The lounge had basically collapsed on one side. The outside light seemed fairly dim… I did mean to report it to the staff but we left before they were about. Mostly none of these things really worried us as we enjoyed the accommodation. More about being aware. I think the owners are working hard to create a great resort for everyone and that is definitely no easy job. Unfortunately (and this is not a complaint) we were fog bound when we should have done a day flight to Lake Eyre. The only option was to do an overnight. It was too late to cancel the Tuesday night booking as we were outback SA. Then we had to pay for an extra night on Wednesday. I’m not sure how this could have been avoided or if Booking.com might refund a night. That would be a lovely gesture.

Needs attention to detail . So many small things were wrong it spoiled the whole experience. The screen door to the lovely decking was jammed, couldn’t get the TV to work, no information book , parts of curtains were off their hooks, couple of insects in the bath, and three squashed mosquitos on the wall.

Secure gated complex- super easy way to get key after hours. Super clean rooms- extremely comfortable bed and bedding- window blinds very updated and very good. Very quiet complex Smart tv. Great size room Huge bed. Laundry available Easy parking for cars. Great restaurant attached.

The bathroom sink isnt very good to wash up dishes etc The high step into the room when tired can be a little bit of a trip

The room was very spacious and comfortable. The spa bath with a view to the surrounding country was really special.
