"How saving $19 cost the hotel over $400 - genius!"

Stayed here overnight prior to a cruise. I have lifetime top tier status with Marriott. At check-in I asked for an additional comp breakfast since our teenager was with us. Flat out denied by the MOD who checked me in. I pushed back and he got rude. I was also told we had been "upgraded", The room overlooked a parking lot, I'd hate to see what the original room overlooked. Also, I left 2 messages in the app HOURS before check-in, neither received a response. We had planned to meet friends at the hotel for dinner. After the MOD's cost-saving measure we took that $400 spend to a local restaurant where we could not have received better treatment if we were family. The MOD is a real man of genius. save $18 by ticking off one of Marriot's top tier customers and miss out on a $400 restaurant and bar tab. One and done. Next cruise we'll stay anyplace BUT here.

"Nice but expensive for an overnight stay before cruise"

Nice hotel but seemed to be geared towards business conferences. Stay overnight before cruise in Miami. very convenient to airport but kids were disappointed pool closed at 7:30 (sunset). Plus nothing around. Otherwise fine Marriott brand hotel.
