Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Minneapolis North/Blaine

Reserved a room at a certain rate, but it went up 30% by the time my credit card was charged. Also, the pool ventilation and ceiling is all rusty. Pool area is very humid - something is definitely wrong in there.

Very clean, modern property.

I booked one night here because my golden retriever needed his eyes checked by a specialist. We were travelling from Canada. The check-in was awesome. We arrived early around noon and the receptionist had the pet friendly room already. This is very much appreciated because after travelling for six hours with a sick dog, it was nice to have a place to rest for a few hours before his appointment. However, when I went to book for the subsequent week, the first night rate was a similar rate and the second night was double that rate! When I asked why, they said it was because there was an event being held there meant there needed to be a higher rate. I think this is gouging the customer and not fair for people booking advance. The receptionist suggested I call customer care. I speak English as my first language and I could not understand the customer care representative. After I asked her a few times to repeat something, she hung up on me! If that is what he customer care standard for Marriott hotels, I am going to cancel my Bonvoy membership and never stay there again. It’s unfortunate because my stay was very pleasant however, trying to reserve the second stay was a nightmare!

Very nice new clean hotel open rooms comfortable beds walk in showers comfortable towels the staff was very accessible kids loved the pool and hot tubs and for dinner there is a great restaurant next door 10 steps away Bricks great food and beverages

Welcoming and helpful staff. Very clean and comfy. Will stay again!

This is one of the newer hotels in Blaine and was very nice. We'll definitely be staying here again.
