City Retreat Hobart

Hosts were very easy to communicate with and welcoming. The property was well equipped and had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Nice place to start our Tasmanian holiday.

Driveway

The location and the good amount of space everywhere. The relaxing views out the windows were dreamy and it was quiet considering how close it was to the heart of the city.

The drive way was horrendously steep and exiting the property scraped the bottom of our little car everytime. Needs to be lowered and smoothed out to cater for cars! Both beds need mattress toppers as both beds have a serious dip in the mattress.

This property was in a very handy location, away from town but within walking distance. The property was very clean and the linen and towels provided were in great condition.

The noise of Macquarie Street was loud in the front bedroom. The kitchen sink and upstairs bathroom sink were very slow to drain.

The biggest advantage of this accommodation is location: we could walk everywhere we needed (keep in mind that Hobart is a bit hilly). The apartments were the most equipped out of all accommodations during our Tassie vacation, it had everything we could and couldn't think of. Owner was proactive in reaching out and also very responsive to my questions.

The only disadvantage was the steep stairs, which we were aware of during the booking. So we avoided going upstairs until nighttime. The fact that there is also toilet/vanity downstairs made is not a big deal. Guests with mobility issues might want to keep it in mind.
