DoubleTree by Hilton Columbus

The staff at the DoubleTree was friendly, professional, and considerate throughout my stay, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the hotel itself feels very old and is in serious need of updates. The rooms, gym, and hotel bar all appeared outdated. The walls also seem very thin, as you can hear almost everything from the hallway and neighboring rooms, which made it difficult to relax and sleep. On top of that, the A/C unit was extremely loud. Overall, the customer service was good, but the property really needs renovations and modernization.

The Bed

The fact that my room was not ready when I got there which was two hours after check in time and had to wait an additional hour and a half.

The staff are wonderful (esp. Nyia and Lee at the front desk), and the food at Houlihan's is good, though service is a bit slow. The problems we encountered were: our room lacked enough towels; an extra blanket we had requested was missing; there were no laundry bags; there were no coffee cups; there was an empty shower soap dispenser; and there was only one glass cup. We think the staff is short-handed when large groups are there, such as the wedding celebration that night. The room they used for the celebration was wonderfully prepped, though I wonder if it detracted from the work of the room staff to ensure the people in the other lodging rooms were all fully prepared.

I appears that some updates were attempted but more are needed to bring this facility to Double Tree Standard.

I like their attention as customer service in all departments, the food was great, serves where very kind and the shuttle driver was very very helpful and friend..

Well for my first time experience at this hotel, I have no type of complaints I was happy with everything
