Hotel Islander Bonaire

The location was great, especially with the attached restaurant. It was hard to find though - there isn’t any sign, we asked the bartender at the house bar where the hotel was - she said ‘it’s here’.

The person at the front desk didn’t know how anything in the room worked, couldn’t find the key to the safe. The mattress was a combination of springs and cement…. The cleaning person was very ‘aggressive’. The cigarette smoke in the foyer was hard to take…

The location is very close to a lot of restaurants and places to hang out

I loved the location, perfect for solo travels, and the staff was friendly.

The sea view was obstructed by overgrown trees, and my television was not functioning throughout the entire stay. Unfortunately, I was unable to obtain a room change, nor was any compensation offered for this inconvenience. Additionally, the shower area needs some renovation, and there is no elevator.
