Sleep Inn Statesville I-40

Clean room. We were only there 12 hours but everyone was friendly and I saw an indoor pool & exercise room.

Myself and my husband are currently looking for a house to move into, as the one we are currently in needs work and does not accommodate our needs. We originally planned to stay just 2 days while some work was being done to current home, but staff was so friendly and its right in the heart of town where its easy to get to food and shopping so we extended for over a week. Not looking forward to going back to our home in the middle of nowhere, LOL

The staff was helpful and polite...even though my complaint was very serious they politely handled the issue with a full refund..they offered other options as well but I just wished to leave asap to find new accommodations

My stay was horrible all 3 hrs of it if i could rate in negative numbers i would..room was filthy carpet stains(pictured),pillow case had lip stick stains or something pink lord only knows..shower door was not clean at all..the walls in bathroom at the top had mold or roach feces (see pictures)thought it was just me in the room boy was I wrong...turn out the lights and the cast from Joe's apartment shows up roaches in mass quantities there were approximately 15 on the night stand it was the worst experience kinda scary to be honest...I did capture one stink bug(pictured) and kill one roach(pictured)...honestly if they weren't so polite to refund me I would have gone to health department and notifiy there corporation...I did toss my clothes and buy new ones and left my overnight bag outside in 11 degree weather hopefully it kills any hitch hikers but apparently the owner and manager are aware of this issue and i was told they got a guy for the roaches but hey I think he needs to up his game... folk I tell you all please save yourself the time and trouble don't stay at this hotel

The room was very unclean. Wet towels on Bathroom sink. room was horrible very rude staff and way overpriced

Should have a better breakfast

I thought the food was fresh but limited selection.

There was a lot of paint chipping and an older throughout the halls there was stains all over the carpet it was just not an appealing place to stay. The outsides were unkept. I went to go get breakfast in the morning and there was a huge chunk of dirt in the middle of the floor of the breakfast area I left it I came back an hour later it was still there again I left it and I came back again and nobody ever cleaned it up so I spent my time and I cleaned up the mess that was on the floor because it was a risk for somebody to fall this shouldn't have been my responsibility and employees walk past it numerous times. I asked for a tray to carry back food from my children and they gave me a try but it was filthy just not a great place to go. If you're just looking for a rest stop it a truck driver I think it would be fine but not for a family stay.

Clean room, friendly staff. Met my expectations. I appreciated the breakfast offered.

Not in a pedestrian friendly location. No EV chargers.
