Thistle London Heathrow Terminal 5

Location was good . Bus stop outside gate to terminal

The property is a relic from the 1970s . Very dated. It looks dirty from the road . The rooms are very dated and need refurbishing. The room we had was small . We were charged £96 for the night . It’s not worth the money compared to the Premier Inn across the road . It seems the company that runs the hotel is taking as much profit as they can but investing nothing into the buildings . Clearly , it’s badly managed and the blame must lay with the most senior management / Directors/CEO . I would describe it as a dilapidated Hostel not a Hotel .

Great location, staff were great, very relaxing lounge, chilled hotel despite being next to the runway at Heathrow.

Toilet was a little crammed but OK.

5 mins on the pods from Heathrow- perfect for a layover flight of 6 hours. Slept well, bed comfortable, self check in/out, shop at reception for essentials - toothbrush, deodorant, etc Got up at 5am and was in loads of time for my 6:20am flight I was already checked into. Literally took no time to get back to the terminal on the pod, then straight to security. Good place near Heathrow to sleep.

Outside of the building looks terrible- it’s not that bad inside. The corridor is really long and looks like the set of a horror movie with old carpet. No one would choose to stay here for longer than a layover 😂😂 But the bed is clean and comfortable

Pod service + AC in the room. The planes were also almost silent. The staff were also very polite and helpful, in reception and in the restaurant.

Room wasn’t cleaned properly, there were hairs in there and the shower didn’t really work. The bed was also as uncomfortable as cardboard. I’d only go back if I had an early flight like i did this time round, I think i’d rather pay for parking and drive to Heathrow at the crack of dawn.

Very handy location.

It’s a little dated.
