La Carosera

Alessandro, his family, their staff and the local community were quite simply some of the kindest, lovliest and most helpful people we've ever met. The accommodation was charming; the breakfast was lovely; the wine they produce is fantastic and the views are stunning.

I honestly can't think of any negatives.

Location interesting, room pleasant, clean with good view from the window.

Poor check-in process which owners hopefully have addressed. However, we never felt the warm hospitality which we had experienced all through our travels. Host did give us some tips on where to go and restaurants which was appreciated. Breakfast terrible, no fresh bread, shop bought packet cakes and over ripe fruit. Breakfast food provided was minimal and below standard considering the high rating on-booking site.

We were warmly welcomed by Magda who gave us lots of tips for places to visit and restaurant addresses. The room and bathroom were spotless and there is air conditioning if it gets very hot. We were sorry not to stay long enough to take a visit of the wine cellar (the owners are also wine producers). The included breakfast was delicious with high quality coffee and preserves and fresh rolls as well as ham and cheese.
