"Happy to be in a comfortable spot"

10.0

I reserved my room last minute over Expedia b/c couldn't find anything close to my price range in a few small towns to the east. The search saved me a night trying to rest in literally freezing temperatures, and, only had to drive 10 more miles or so west. I was overjoyed to have a very large, clean room, microwave, refrigerator, large screen tv, and plenty of heat. For me, this was a 5-star hotel, but know that the average American would probably view it as a 3? Oklahoma in general could use a few extra snow plows, but I was able to get into and out of the parking lot successfully and didn't skate too much. Even better, the hotel was across the street from the Route 66 museum. Could walk to museum and restaurant(s).

"Don't Do It"

2.0

This place was absolutely nasty. We were eaten up with bedbugs and roaches were all over. The tub didn't drain so you basically washed in your own dirt and who ever showered before you. Staff was rude and very unhelpful. Beware!!!!!!!!

"Avoid this place"

2.0

Made a mistake and stayed here due to its location across from the Route 66 Museum. Place was dirty and very run down. Management was very unfriendly. We did not eat breakfast as it looked terrible. Do not stay here.

"I left immediately upon seeing the room. "

2.0

This was the worst hotel I have ever even heard about, let alone booked. It was dirty, the sheets were stained, the bathrooms were disgusting. I walked in, put my bag down, looked at the sheets, saw the bathroom and left. I am currently in a dispute with expedia and the hotel to get my money back.

"DO NOT stay here"

2.0

Was told it was Non Smoking what a joke. Had to air the place from smoke & OTHER smells. Tub was so filthy I didn't want to shower. I put my own blanket on bed to sleep, by the guys attitude I knew it wouldn't do any good to complain, I would sleep in my car before I ever stayed here again. Breakfast furnished but was so little & so poor we didn't eat there.

"Would stay again"

10.0

Nice place to stay under $55. Easy to get to off of I-40 exit 65. Great room, wifi, frig, microwave, laundry facilities and truck parking. Dryer didn't work real good in laundry room but advised staff and think they will get it fixed. Stayed here November 29, 2014

"Motel ready implode"

2.0

Situated across the street from the RTE 66 museum and purportedly one of Elvis's haunts, this facility was ready to cave in on itself. Peeling paint, streaked walls, cigarette burns, dead bugs were what greeted us when we arrived. The pool and hot tub where mostly drained or green. the overall feel was that of a facility used by those that had fallen on bad times or where at rock-bottom trying to make there way back up. The people that we did meet where nice and had stories to tell. If you want to experience what it might be like on the bottom..or you're too tired to carry on...stop by the trade winds for a night..or not!!

"Good"

Wasn't bad for the price. The motel itself was ok and friendly, but the other tenants kinda bothered me. Overall was good. We were only there 1 night

"Worst motel I've ever stayed in"

2.0

We did a 3 week trip across the US and stayed at 15 hotels/motels in that time and this was by far the worst motel. What made it worse was that we aimed for this hotel due to the fact that Elvis had stayed there in his early days and its obviously not changed since! The motel says there is a pool and a spa but both were drained! The front door didn't look like it closed right, the decorating was from the 80s, the bathroom door didn't close at all, the ceiling above the shower looked like it was going to fall down and the shower head was about half a metre from the light switch that had no cover on it and you could see bare wires. The next day we were itchy which could only be down to their being bedbugs and the room was just not clean. Rm 107 was an absolute [--]! I spoke to the manager the next morning and was told this was due to crazy people staying there.....so the crazy people of Clinton like to take bathroom doors off and then screw them back on so that they don't close, they also like to steal the covers off of light switches. And of course they didn't notice this because they hadn't checked that room in a while! DO NOT STAY HERE, they charge you $50 for staying here too which is ridiculous, the manager did not even offer to come and see any of the complaints we had and was obviously eager to get back to his tv. Again, DO NOT STAY HERE, its a shambles, the owner is lazy and doesn't care. And finally......... DON'T STAY THERE, this person doesn't deserve to run a motel.

"Don't even THINK about this horrid PLACE!"

2.0

I stopped in this place because I couldn't find the EconoLodge and was really tired. The daughter was going to let me see a room ( I always check) and then the mom came from the back as they clearly live there and said, "NO" I couldn't see a room! I was in shock and said okay. I walked back in after leaving and asked if I did something to offend her and she said, "No". I went to the convenience store a block away and THEY said it was a horrible hotel with a horrible reputation. Clearly others who asked to see rooms must have said no thank you!
