Langley Hwy Hotel

First off, the name of the place says "hotel", it is not a hotel, it is a motel. We had a terrible experience that kept getting worse. Upon check-in we were informed that we would not be allowed to park in front of our room, because someone was shooting a movie at the motel that night. We had to park in another and then carry all our belongings around to get to our room. After an hour we were "allowed" to park in front of our room. The room was terrible. Cracks in the walls, holes in the ceiling, stains on the walls, unfinished drywall patches, wallpaper falling off the walls, AC unit duct taped in place, really old TV with 5 channels you could barely see through the static. From the pictures on Booking.com I knew we weren't staying at the Hilton, but the room was far, far worse than anything in those pictures. ...And the room key didn't work, and we had to get the card 'reset' multiple times during our stay. In spite of the disrepair, it was admittedly reasonably clean, which is probably the only reason we didn't pack up and go. After going our for dinner we came back and parked and again were asked to move because our car was ruining their shot. In spite of being exhausted from a long tiring day with far too much going wrong, I eventually accommodated the director. In the morning we asked for room keeping and left for the day. Upon return in the afternoon we found the key card didn't work again, nothing had been cleaned, and now the smoke alarm was going off with a low battery. I complained and the staff apologized that someone didn't come in to work. I had to work hard to convince the staff how frustrated we were with our experience. We left for supper and returned to find that they had finally figured out how to clean our room, the smoke alarm was quiet, and they finally brought the extra pillow that I had asked for the night before.

Loud music from the pub till very late. And there were homeless people camped around the motel…. But Staff were wonderful! Pleasant cheerful, accommodating and very helpful.

Had booked 2 night stay, checked out after 1 night Lots of issues. Bed had bed bugs, Bedding was stained Flooring carpet was also stained Spides and spider webs in the corners of the room. Shower handle fell off the valve. Interior wall had some obvious shoddy repair. room door had major dents. asked for a refund which was refused

The hotel rooms are in very poor condition - Saw lots of mosquitos in washroom - Hotel bathroom has duct taped ceilings - Beds are very old with springs are rusty

Get what you pay for

The parking was easy, even thought the parking spaces in front of my room were ALL occupied by the “movie/show” that was being filmed. The AC was noisy and worthless. The room was relatively clean, BUT SO DATED!! Needed paint. The door had gaps init to the outside. The sink/counter was at a level for a toddler. And the worst part— NO WIFI!! Front desk said it was because the “movie crew” were using it!! REALLY!! I cannot recommend this place at all.
