We loved all the quirky decor and everything was made to feel very comfortable. The sea view from the room was amazing and the full sized bathrooms was brilliant. Self serve continental breakfast was a really nice idea too and meant there was no time pressures. Host met us on arrival and gave us all the info we needed, had a brilliant stay and would thoroughly recommend.

The only very very tiny things are that the shower was too hot, even on the coldest setting (which is a strange complaint for some, maybe) but not a huge issue. The dresser table wasnt close to any socket for hairdryer/straighteners etc so it was a little awkward and there was quite a lot of dust/cobwebs around the diner area but none of that took away from the stay in any way.

Only saw owner briefly on two or three occasions AND no indication of no cooked breakfast whereas your published reviews, all from 2025, praised excellent and cooked breakfast.

From the minute we walked in, we felt joy and childlike happiness. The decor is exquisite, very tasteful and great attention to detail. We've stayed in enough hotels to appreciate cleanliness, a nice smell, and all facilities working properly. But it was more than that; small things made us feel comfortable, such as extra towels in the bathroom, a drying rack, a nice selection of toiletries, a variety of teas to make in the room, and a comfy bed with nice, white linen. We had a room with a view, and we couldn't help but stare at the water and the hills. Unfortunately, we never had the chance to eat in the diner (only breakfast was on offer) - maybe next time.

Second time staying here. Host was amazing! Love the decor,love the location,love the views!

Shame the American Diner was not open for dinner and would love to have had a night in the honky tonk bar but they where closed which is a shame.

I have stayed in hotels for work for over 40 years and this has to be one of the coolest places ever. Just my style. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable.
