Room was amazing, food was delicious, hosts were very welcoming

No complaints whatsoever

Very odd check in. Arrived at 2.50 for 3pm check in. The lady owner was just getting in her car when I explained we were booked in for two nights she just said check in is at 3 and drove off at that point a man opened the doors and again I explained we were booked in for two nights He said yes you haven’t booked breakfast I said that’s ok he then gave us a key and told us the bar and music room was closed as it was out of season That’s the last we see of them they obviously didn’t want to talk to us. On check out we just left the keys in the hallway and left. We found it very odd had we known it wasn’t fully open we would not have booked.

Diner and bar closed although it was weekend and rooms were fully booked, leading us to have to get a taxi into town

The attention to detail throughout was excellent with a 50s/60s American diner theme. Check in was easy. Our room had striking decor and continued the theme. Nice touches included bath robes, bottles water etc. The bathroom was clean, bright, modern and with lots of toiletries. The breakfast room was stunning and the breakfast was very good. Pancakes were delicious. Easy parking on the street outside. Location was very good, only 5 minutes drive into Rothesay. The owner was very helpful and attentive.

Small point, the tv in the room was a bit small. Breakfast time was only 9-9.30 and dinner was only 5-7pm.

Everything was so clean and well presentable would defo stay hear again

Bar and restaurant did not open at all while we were there.

Location was excellent . Owner was exceptionally friendly and welcoming . Very interesting Hotel and America Diner was impressive.

Breakfast could have been better. Didn’t feel as if it was freshly cooked and not warm, otherwise I would have scored a 10

Friendly staff and a well-equipped room with everything needed—and even a bit more.

However, the room felt quite stuffy, and the duvet was too thick and fluffy for my comfort, which made it difficult to sleep. Of course, that’s a personal preference. I can only speak for the room I stayed in, but it was a bit small, potentially too narrow for someone of a larger build.
