Comfort Inn Traverse City

Exceeded my expectayions. Fully renovated and modern throughout. Large rooms. Staff cheerful and helpful Pool available 24/7. Water was comfortable temperature to swim in, air temp kept appropriately warm, fully functioning jacuzzi. Breakfast items were changed each day for the three mornings. Scrambled eggs and potatoes daily with additional rotation of omelets, fried eggs, various sausage types, and sautéed peppers. Plus waffles, various breads, and muffins, fruits, yogurts, boiled eggs, and various condiments. Shuttle into and from town available. Ample parking. Nice touch with afternoon cookies.

The location was very convenient. The breakfast offered a lot of variety, which our family loved, we're big on breakfast! The staff was great, we really only interacted with the front desk team and the breakfast team, but they were so wonderful! The water bottle refill options (front desk, breakfast station, and fitness center) were very appreciated. Our girls loved the pool and hot tub, they could have spent the whole weekend inside! We loved the cookies at the front desk. The room was a little tight for our family of 4, but we made it work, and the shelving in the room helped a lot! The lighting in the room was nice and the blackout shades were great. Also, the hotel was pretty busy over the weekend because of a softball tournament and it was still relatively quiet at night.

The front parking lot was really tight so we usually parked in the back. There was some construction next door and it seemed like that brought through some unhoused people, which made it a little uncomfortable when walking our dog; there's not much grass on the property. To be clear, we never felt unsafe. The breakfast space is pretty tight, and most mornings it was fine, but there were a couple days it felt extra crowded. There was a minor hot tub issue and the temperature dropped for a couple of hours, but they fixed it quickly! The bathroom in our hotel room was very small, the toilet seat itself felt miniature. Not a deal breaker by any means, just not ideal.

Comfortable beds. Soft sheets are the best. Great breakfast and very helpful and kind staff.
