Auburn House Hotel

Our tv didn't work on the 1st room and the moved us to the exterior building. That room had no comforter and there were stains on the floor, bathroom and hand print on the wall. Very scary. We took photos.

This was a last minute decision and Auburn house came up fairly early in the post. We travel ALOT and most of that travel is by backpack and trails so a warm, dry place and a hot shower is all we were after. The shower had a very high pitch whistle to it when running the hot water and the water flow is so low that it took the toilet almost 30 minutes to refill the tank. All the while making a similar high pitched sound as the shower.

Maintenance needs to be in the rooms more often making sure that the toilets flush and the shower does not have high pitch squeal while showering. The remote was missing from the room so they had to replace the entire module for the tv. Kept saying the remotes only work with the one module except someone was changing the channels on our TV with their remote.

Everything it was unsafe dirty and eeww Couldn’t use the doors to get in and out our room door looked like it was just tape to close shower didn’t work blood stains and lights did work

The staff were all friendly and helpful.

My room was infested with cockroaches. I didn’t realize it until the second night, but I got up to go to the bathroom and found them around the toilet and bathtub, and crawling all over the sink and vanity (one was even on my toothbrush). I was given a different room, but I had to spend two hours meticulously shaking out all my belongings to make sure nothing hitched a ride. By the time I finished (around 5:30 AM) I had to immediately leave to go to work. Even beyond the roaches, the carpet was covered with stains, the premises stank of stale pot smoke, and there were various holes and tears in the bedding. Nothing personal against the staff, they were doing the best they could, but this place should be burned to the ground.

Excellent customer service and clean rooms! Beds u could sleep in forever!
