Havelock Inn & Suites

The lobby was shutdown, check-in handled at a walk up window with a sign stating No Refunds. Had already paid, so I stayed. Based on what I could see from the outside, I would not have stayed. Parking lot was pretty much empty all weekend. Found a roach on my last day.

Friendly staff. Decent rooms. Loved that it has a kitchen so we could cook in the room

Attended a 1st Communion and hotel was walking distance. Clean room, nice TV and fridge, hair dryer didn't work, no coffee pot. Walking distance to City Park.

It was fine for a nights stay as we passed through the area, but wouldn’t recommend long term stays. It’s pretty run down and dreary looking. The room was clean but outdated with some random cosmetic things. We did check for bed bugs because that was listed on another review, didn’t find any but it seems they put covers on the mattresses now so my guess they may have had a problem once but not anymore. The heat was either hot or cold, no in between. Bed was comfortable but the pillows were terrible, we used sweatshirts to boost them or we were laying flat.

I’ve notice a lot of mixed reviews about this place but I don’t see where the negative ones came from, my stay was nothing but excellent

We checked in at 11:30pm coming from New Jersey. The clerk was kinda rude but not the end of the world. The area is really crappy. The hotel is clearly old. If you need darkness to sleep this isn’t the place for you. Lots of light as soon as the sun came up or at least the direction our room was facing. Took a bath and the water was almost yellow and smelled like a jacuzzi. We just needed a place to crash so it did its duty but not great.

Very clean. Nice people too.
