Summerhill house

I wasn't expecting much considering previous Tripadvisor reviews, however Summerhill House exceeded my expectations by a lot! The staff are exceptionally friendly and did everything that they could to make my stay enjoyable. The rooms are clean and cosy, and I slept feeling safe as the security is top-notch. Also, Summerhill House is just a 10 minute walk from city centre (and, there is a bus going directly to City centre that stops right outside Summerhill House). My advice is to most definitely book here, especially as they are so affordable.

Had a room booked here for weeks leading upto the magic weekend rugby, at the last minute they have cancelled my room for unforeseen circumstances yet was re Available for twice the price online! I now cant get a hotel so my tickets are wasted. Absolutely disgusting service and nothing but attitude when asking what had happened to my room.

I reserved this place but didn’t end up doing but today about a month later I get a notification that summerHill house tried to debit my card almost £60 for no reason . Thankgod I had my card on freeze and It got declined Tand as proof I am attaching a screenshot of the notification I received from my bank . Shame on you Summerhill house management .

Booked for 4 rooms weeks ago only to receive an email a week before we arrive saying the hotel is having maintenance done but now advertising the rooms @ 3 times the price we paid!! I would be very cautious if booking these rooms and definitely will not even consider staying here in any future trips to the city

Had the refurbished rooms in rooms 35 and 36. Double rooms clean and comfortable. Shared toilet and shower all clean. You need your own towel. Must make sure you get the refurbished rooms. It was a bit disorganised but good price for a room 10 mins from the arena and 15 mins to the town. Could get the number 1 bus in but it's a decent well lit road to walk.Rooms locked so felt secure and CCTV cameras every where

We stayed 8 men to go and watch the boxing at the metro arena it was a ten minute walk and that’s the only positive thing I can say. To start off theirs 5 twin rooms one communal toilet and shower and one communal kitchen which 3 people couldn’t fit in together the beds them selfs was in a disgusting state the mattress where dirty and worn out and possibly the cheapest ones they could find the pillows and duvet where all stained as was the bedding they was so bad most of us slept on top of the bed in our clothes. We asked for towels £10 each but they only had dirty ones but said we could have one of them if we want the staff all speak broken English and not intrested when we ask for stuff or asked them to order us taxis then theirs the condition of the place it’s run down and the Finnish of the place is to very poor standard theirs a big communal kitchen down stairs that Is for serving breckfast open cereal box’s left on the side dirty cutlery and table wear laying around a fridge I wouldn’t put me dog food in as it was so dirty and had opened and out of date stuff in their also the location is in the middle of a very rough area (taxi drivers words not mine) my advice is stay away
