The Guesthouse at Rosecrest Farm

We didn't know what to expect so we were amazed at how fortunate we were to select Rosecrest for our stay in Kentucky. Beautiful, horse country. Upon our arrival, Lyra gave us a golf cart tour of the area around the guesthouse. We met the horse and learned about the history. Even if you're not a horse lover, Lyra will tell you what you need to know to feel comfortable around the horses - to be safe and to keep them safe. The house is very comfortable. Porches to sit and relax. Quiet. Breakfast was very good - a great start to the day. We adjusted our schedule so that we could visit with the horses before breakfast and before settling in for the night. How could we not love them - the seniors, the 2-day old, the yearlings? As far as the location, we were very satisfied. The beautiful road to Paris was only a few miles. From there, the attractions of Lexington were about 30 minutes away. The Ark Encounter was about an hour away, but we enjoyed sightseeing the whole way. Paris was also a nice town. When we get back to Kentucky, Rosecrest Farm will be our first destination.

Roosecrest farm is an enchanting experience. We loved staying with the horses, learning about the history of horse racing and enjoying the beauty of the scenery. It's a very peaceful and special place.

This was a B and B on a horse farm which of course was amazing. The place we stayed was an old house with wooden floors and beautiful furniture. Our breakfast was delicious and bed was comfy too. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved sitting on the porch watching the horses and actually being able to pat the horses.

We love it there. Lil and Teresa were great and Linda cooked one day and was amazing. Can't wait to go back. Love the horses and the beautiful setting.

I loved having coffee out on the back porch looking over the farm. So peaceful and breakfast was delicious.

Rosecrest Farms is the home of the well-known Goldencents, who is co-owned by Charles & Lyra Miller and another owner. We were looking for a not so routine place to stay and always enjoy watching the 3 major Breeders Cups Races, and my husband booked us so we could spend the night in a lovely Guest House that serves as a B & B. Very nice accommodations awaited along with a personal tour of the farm and give guests the history of the horse, Goldencents, who won several races and has sired 4 horses running this year. It is an amazing, beautiful horse farm divided into different sections and pods for the mares and their goals. The Guest House has 3 bedrooms with individual bathrooms, living and dining area and a fabulous full breakfast the next morning. Coffee, tea and ice are available and a handmade solid chocolate horseshoe awaits each guest. We loved every minute of our stay, our tour with owner, Charles Miller, and being education on every aspect of the horse racing breeding business. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained and it is a peaceful, tranquil setting. We will definitely be going back and encouraging others to go there as well.

Our hosts, Lyra and Chuck Miller were very gracious. The stay included a tour of the farm and some of the history. It was very relaxing and our breakfast was outstanding including the blue berry french toast. The stay exceeded our expectations. Mingo, the family dog, was glad to see us.
