Ladera Resort

Our stay at Ladera Resort was nothing short of magical! The property itself is breathtaking—perched high above the Pitons with open-air suites that make you feel like we were living in a dream. The views are beyond anything we’ve ever seen! Every staff member we encountered went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. Our butler, Devonte, and Vianney with room service were especially incredible—both were kind, attentive, and consistently thoughtful! Both remembered our preferences, anticipated our needs, and made us feel personally cared for throughout our stay. We were sad to say goodbye bye to them at the end of our stay. The housekeeping team kept everything immaculate, and the front desk staff greeted us with genuine warmth each time we passed by. They took care of helping us to get cash when we couldn’t get to an ATM, made sure we had towels when we left the property (even realizing for us and bringing them out to our taxi one day that we forgot to stop by and pick them up!) The concierge was also extremely helpful and was able to book us wonderful experiences even though we left some of our planning till the last moment. The bar and restaurant staff were friendly and I often felt I was talking with friends rather than staff members. We felt completely at home while still wrapped in luxury. Ladera isn’t just a resort—it’s an experience. It blends natural beauty, outstanding service, and pure relaxation in a way that feels effortless and unforgettable. We left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already dreaming of our next visit. While the open air experience may not be for everyone, if you are considering it, it was 100% worth it. The mosquito nets were effective and the breeze and fans made sleeping comfortable. I even used the comforter for the last half of our stay! If you’re looking for a uniquely intimate and extraordinary escape, Ladera Resort is absolute perfection. Highly, highly recommend!

Our stay at Ladera Resort was fantastic. The property is stunning. Our “room”, like every room at Ladera, had an expansive, open-air view of the Pitons beyond our personal plunge pool. When I stuttered, “oh my goodness” upon walking in, Caroline mentioned that many people say the same upon arriving! It’s one of the most beautiful and unique resorts we’ve ever visited. What really made our experience unique was the genuine personal interactions with the entire team. Christian and Sonya were a pleasure to interact with throughout our stay. Their care and friendliness made us feel instantly familiar. Anson’s morning yoga classes were a great way to start each beautiful day and Caroline’s welcome at the beginning of our stay and assistance throughout as concierge was very warm and personal. Absolute highlight - Alexander the Great (Jr)’s impromptu tour of the flowers and fruits that beautifully cover the Ladera property. The generosity with which he shared his knowledge and enthusiasm was awesome! I was also fortunate to spend time at Ladera as an artist in residence, which was an incredible experience. The studio itself is inspiring, and I enjoyed and appreciated working alongside Boniface. Cindy’s guidance and coordination were also invaluable, and I’m grateful for her support. Ladera is the perfect combination of natural beauty, exceptional service, and genuine hospitality. We left feeling refreshed, inspired, and ready to return. If you visit St. Lucia, stay at Ladera. In fact, visit St Lucia in order to stay at Ladera!

We recently returned from a four night five day stay at Ladera and it was incredible. First off, the rooms are like no where else we have ever stayed. Three walls with incredible views and privacy. Every room has a waterfall feature that drowns out any other rooms noise and also you can tell the resort is well designed that rooms are spaced appropriately. As for bugs/nature in the rooms- I was a bit nervous about this but it didn’t end up being an issue. We didn’t find the need to use bug spray while there and came home with no bites. I would tuck our mosquito netting into the underside of the bed at night and that seemed to keep any unwanted bugs out. I enjoyed the included morning yoga one AM and it was like my own private yoga/stretch session. I would highly recommend! I visited the new spa which was amazing and also did a workout in the gym and hiking trails. The service here is next level. It seems as though they have 5 workers to every 1 guest. It’s incredible. I left wondering how this hotel is only ranked as 4 stars. I’ve stayed at many five star hotels and this one knocks those out of the park. We know we will return again some day. It was truly one of the best trips we’ve ever had.

My wife and I had an amazing visit to Ladera. It was our first time to St Lucia, and we were looking to have a quiet, laid back, private few days together. Ladera and their amazing staff catered to our every need. We stayed in the Petit LeFleur suite which had spectacular views of the Pitons and was completely private. The Concierge service help us setup a few excursions, visiting the Volcano, mud baths, waterfalls and mineral spring baths was awesome, and they setup me up with a great Scuba guide just a 15 min car ride away from the hotel. We also took the shuttle to Sugar beach which was clean and private. We ordered room service for breakfast and lunch each day, and ate on-site at the Dasheene restaurant each of our 4 nights. The food was delicious and small changes to the menu each day kept it interesting. It was one of our favorite trips, and we will certainly be visiting again. Thank you Ladera team!

We stayed at Ladera resort for our babymoon and it was nothing short of perfection. The rooms are so luxurious with heated pools and a very cool 3-wall design. The staff is incredibly kind, professional, and helpful. We had butler service with Devonte who was superb; so fun and informative. The view of the Pitons from the room as well as the restaurant blew us away. There's also a ton of stuff to do both on and off the resort. I cannot recommend this resort enough.

The views are stunning. Ladera is an amazingly thoughtful resort. Everything from beautiful rooms (get the personal plunge pool) to the walking trails on the property will take your breath away.

This was the second leg of our honeymoon and we really loved it. Absolutely gorgeous view of the Pitons and the Caribbean. We spent every afternoon soaking in the view from our private pool as the sun set and it was unbelievably relaxing. Our Heritage suite was incredibly spacious and beautifully decorated with custom tiling and carvings on the wood pillars. Would definitely recommend hiking the trail on Ladera's property for more amazing views of the area. The Ladera Treehouse at the far end of the resort was a peaceful and neat spot to relax and read for a couple of hours. All of our meals from Dasheene were very, very good (we had the lava cake dessert every night) and the dinner experience felt high-level with palate cleansers and a nightly chef's special appetizer. The staff (general managers included) was very friendly and helpful to us. We did find sleeping to be difficult due to loud bird calls and the rain hitting the metal roof. However, this was not unexpected as this was our first time staying in an open-air room. Small lizards and birds were present in the room, but insects were not a major issue and overall we were mostly unbothered by nature and we were given standing fans to stay cool at night under our bed's netting as well as earplugs and eye masks. All in all, Ladera was a lovely experience. Expensive, yes, but we would absolutely consider returning in the future.

Ladera is situated in the rainforest with a breathtaking view of the Pitons and a view of Sugar Beach (Piton Bay). We had a free shuttle service to and from the airport and were greeted with rum punch and a ride to our room with a tour of the property via their fancy mini jeeps (I forget what they’re actually called). We arrived to our room to find a beautiful local fruit tray, bottle of chilled champagne and an outdoor open concept room to include our own private dipping pool, couch, king size bed, large shower, and view of the mountains and bay. Each room is so private, you cannot see or hear your neighbors, and they cannot see you (take it as you will). Every day our room was restocked with waters, sodas, coconut water, and ample Nespresso pods. Breakfast was free every morning and everything included is more than enough to satiate an NFL player. We didn’t go hungry for a moment. Dinners were elegant and filling as well. We attended the Thursday fish fry (highly recommend purchasing tickets ahead of time). It was DELICIOUS (shoutout to Johanna and Devonte for providing amazing service and really making us feel at home and part of a family). Amenities in the property include a hot tub house, game room, ping pong (where my husband and I may have come the closest to a divorce), gym (free weights, yoga, treadmills, peloton, elliptical machine, cable machine), and a 2 mile trail loop that takes you to the coolest treehouse I’ve ever seen and an outdoor gym. At the end of the property is the incredible and luxurious Leve spa. My husband and I booked a 60 min massage together, and it included access to the spa facilities (pool, sauna, infrared sauna, and steam room, and Jako Wellness Cafe). Additionally, the resort offers multiple free beach shuttles where you can spend your day at Sugar Beach or Malgretoute, drinking cocktails/beers that you can buy from the boat bar on the water. We spent our time at Sugar Beach, which has some of the best snorkeling on the island. Service at Ladera is unmatched. Every single staff member acknowledges you, says “good morning” or “good evening”, and overall has positive, welcoming attitudes. There was one day our room was not restocked, so we called concierge and we were restocked within 10 minutes, and it never happened again. Overall, this was a high end, professional, luxury resort that delivered beyond our wildest dreams. Thank you, Ladera for making our honeymoon so special. We can’t wait to come back!

My husband and I celebrated both our honeymoon and birthdays here, and it exceeded every expectation. We did tons of research before booking, and we’re so glad we chose Ladera and the Soufrière area. This part of St. Lucia is stunning, authentic, and less touristy than other regions — everything you’d want for a romantic and relaxing getaway. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the “pinch-me” views, luxurious amenities, and exceptional service. Every staff member we met was warm, genuine, and attentive. Even the General Manager and his wife were present and friendly — something you don’t often see at luxury resorts! We’d love to share a few special shout-outs to the amazing team members who made our stay unforgettable: - Rosemarie (Housekeeping): Her energy and kindness brightened our mornings — we looked forward to seeing her every day! - Hilarius (Hideaway Rum Bar): Our rum-making class was one of the highlights of our stay, thanks to his knowledge and great sense of humor. - Sherin (Reception): She went above and beyond for us, especially after an unexpected excursion mishap. Her patience and professionalism were unmatched. - Boniface (Woodworker & Artist): A must-meet! His stories, craftsmanship, and positive spirit added so much to our experience. - Chef Nigel: A true talent! We loved chatting with him during dinners — he takes time to connect with guests and ensure everyone’s experience is top-notch. - Jermie (Bar & Dasheen Restaurant): Friendly, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable. - Hans (Butler): So lovely and attentive! - Neilbert: Always engaging and full of joy — we looked forward to seeing his smile every day. Every team member we encountered went above and beyond, and we can’t say enough good things about the Ladera staff.

Bring mosquito repellent (Deep Woods OFF worked great for us) — you’re surrounded by lush jungle, so it’s part of the experience! Embrace nature — you’ll see lizards, hear the rainforest, and feel open-air living at its finest. Some guests split their stay between Ladera (for the views) and another resort with A/C and enclosed walls for contrast. Always book excursions and travel through trusted guides recommended by the resort. Soufrière is wonderful, but it’s best to follow local advice for a safe and smooth experience.

Hmm how can I sum up perfection? From the moment we arrived we had the most magical and wonderful experience at Ladera. The entire staff set a new standard and went above and beyond in every way possible. Every single meal we ate was phenomenal. There was so many amazing experiences on site from the spa, the tree house, the hiking, the restaurant (to name only a few) but if you wanted to explore off site, Ladera made the process smooth and painless. The grounds took your breath away and we were convinced we were in the Garden of Eden. My husband and I are so blessed we found our “go to” destination and we can’t wait to visit our new forever friends at Ladera.
