YEHS Hotel Melbourne CBD

My Brother and I always stay there, its close to the football, main reason why we are in Melbourne. Walking distance to places to eat too. The room is clean and the beds are comfy.

Good location, nice staff, confortable bed and quiet.

Looks old and maybe needs a bit of maintenance in the building (elevator and corridors) and bathroom.

Property clean and tidy - photos were from when I left, not on check in. Check in was marvellous. I had arrived early by about an hour and asked to store my bags in the luggage storage before coming back to check in. Ting was wonderful and provided free check in (plus a room upgrade to one with extra beds). The most important factor for me in accomodation when travelling is ease. YEHS made staying there easy, and actively assisted to make life less stressful and complex with earlier check in and it was greatly appreciated. The toilet paper was 3 ply and similar to what I use at home which is multitudes better than many hotels with two ply scratchy stuff. Gym available between 0700-2300, need to swipe in the elevator to access that floor. Photos of gym included.

The cord pulls for the blinds had their cord homes broken. This is potentially a risk to children if they were to stay and it should be resolved. The hotel is dated in appearance which bothers me not at all but some travellers may prefer shiny new. There was nothing that affected me that was poor.
