Hotel Renoir

We recently stayed for two nights at this hotel in Monaco and unfortunately our experience was very disappointing from start to finish. Before arrival, communication regarding early check-in was slow and unclear. On arrival, we were told rooms were available but that certain guests were being prioritised as “more important,” which felt unprofessional and immediately set the wrong tone. We also had an uncomfortable interaction near the dining/kitchen area where a member of staff spoke to us in a dismissive and rude manner when we were simply orienting ourselves around the property. During our stay, we experienced repeated issues with our room key, and there appeared to be inconsistencies with housekeeping and room entry. On one occasion, we returned to find our “Do Not Disturb” sign had been removed without explanation. Most seriously, personal belongings went missing from our room, which was extremely distressing. When raised with reception, the response was delayed and we were told to wait until the following day, with no clear resolution or meaningful follow-up provided during our stay. We also experienced a loss of hot water which was not communicated in advance, affecting our comfort. Overall, we found the service inconsistent and at times unhelpful, particularly when raising concerns. For a hotel at this level and price point, we expected significantly higher standards of professionalism, communication, and guest security. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we would not choose to stay here again.
