A fabulous retreat by the sea so conducive to relaxation. Fantastic service from a very attentive staff - nothing was too much.

Beautiful hotel in perfect location!

We had an amazing time in the Cliff House Hotel. Staff were all lovely, great service and plenty of them. The pool and spa area were gorgeous with beautiful views over the sea as with the view from our bedroom. We had a beautiful meal in the Bar restaurant and breakfast the following morning was just as good. My only negative comment is that the seats in the Bar are looking a bit tired and could do with recovering.

The stay was lovely, the bedrooms were the highlight, plus the welcome we got on check-in felt special 10/10. The bedrooms were fab, felt high quality, music sound system, shower and extra touches. Breakfast selection and staff were fab. The restaurant was closed for dinner on the night we were there so we eat in the bar. The food was good but the service was all over the place - wine did not arrive until we had already started our starters, we got steaks (not advised they were served with no sides) and so had to order them after the steak arrived, steak was ofc already eaten by time they arrived. Generally, the bar/restaurant staff did not reflect the 5 star standard you expect after arriving. My dessert cocktail, did not arrive after my bf dessert was already gone, 25mins later, this was not charged on the bill. The hotel is lacking a lobby / bar. Spa - I specifically asked fro a couples room, we were there to relax together. When we arrived, Keith was brought away first, and when i got to my room, the couples room, he was not there and had already started his treatment in another room, whilst I got mine in the large couples room alone. The therapist was lovely, but had no idea what treatments I had booked - she was about to leave the room when I had to ask about my facial. Overall I don't like to say but i feel its overpriced and not sure I'd return or highly recommend it again. Unfortunately the area was also extremely quiet with everything closed at the time of year

The Cliff House brought the level of customer service upto almost unmatchable levels. Everything was superb from the get go. Every little detail catered for. Minor quibbles? I ordered seafood chowder for lunch on arrival and whilst absolutely delicious the quantity served up was meagre considering the €9.50 price. Ditto with my wife's fish for evening dinner in the Bar. However I would highhly highly recommend The Cliff House for a treat.
