Sheedy's Country House Hotel

We arrived quite late after driving all day. Martina was so lovely and gracious. Our room was huge and gorgeous. We hadn't eaten since the morning and Martina suggested a place to eat two doors down, which was perfect. The next morning we had the absolute LARGEST breakfast we'd ever been offered! Absolutely loved this place and wish we had stayed longer! Make sure to bring cash, as there are no ATMs within a half hour of the town...learned THAT the hard way.

Martina is lovely, very welcoming and helpful when it came to advice on places to go. Food was excellent... both evening meal and delicious breakfasts, largely locally sourced. Room was large, shower hot and strong, well kept. Nice to stroll into the village in the evening and sample some lovely and lively local pubs with music. Highly recommend.

This place was fantastic. You had the amenities of a hotel with the comfort/welcoming feel of a B and B. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The food in the hotel was very good. It had a very cozy lobby with a wood stove, a separate library/den area, and a small bar area. The absolute best part was the room itself. The room, bathroom, and living space was huge. It had great amenities we didn't see anywhere else in Ireland including: towel warmer, separate tub and shower, double sinks, large screen TV, etc. The location is near to the Cliffs of Moher and beaches but the town is pretty small. It had a handful of restaurants, some of which the kitche was already closed, one that had been filled by buses so we couldn't get in, and another which only took cash. This was a bit of a problem because there is no ATM in the town so be prepared.

Martina was so welcoming, and the food was unbelievably delicious, elegantly presented and served. John is an amazing chef! I wish we were staying longer.

The service, facilities and food was of the highest quality and standard. Martina was an absolutely perfect hostes- providing professional old school charm and service with a smile! We had a cosy dinner in the bar by the fire and candle light and everything was perfect! All of the food was homemade and local sourced and amazing. It will be a memorable time of our trip for years to come- We wish we lived nearer- so we could stay again!

This hotel was a bright stop on our trip. It is located within a nice town with lots of restaurants and night spots to visit. The hotel owners were extremely pleasing and helpful, and the breakfast was truly excellent! Would definitely stay again.
