Bicentennial Inn

Room was sufficient, beds were ok. It was mostly clean, except for some odd black soot on my bed, assuming it was from the air unit. Bathroom was clean and good water pressure.

Provided shower supplies felt cheap. Needs were not very comfortable. Breakfast consisted of muffins, cookies, oranges, Apples and orange juice.

Breakfast was fruit and few odd items set out on the check in counter. No actual breakfast room to sit in.

The sheets on one of the beds were old and "pilly" and needed to be thrown away. They had a very ruff surface. Carpets in hallways were dirty and the music from the bar could be heard in the room until it shut down.

Lovely place and the staff is very kind

The property itself was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The location was great and convenient to nearby attractions, and the room was tidy and nicely kept. Overall, the physical space and location were enjoyable. The staff also accommodated a request to decorate the room as a surprise for my wife since this was our honeymoon, which was very thoughtful and appreciated.

Our stay had several issues that were never acknowledged or addressed by management, which ultimately left a bad impression. First, the elevator was down for the entire weekend. My wife uses a wheelchair, so each elevator use required staff assistance. While staff did help, this was a significant inconvenience and not something we were informed of prior to arrival. Upon check-in, the front desk staff was also rude and questioned my wife about her service animal, asking whether it had been discussed with the property owner. We explained that service animals are federally protected and do not require prior disclosure. Despite this, the staff member still contacted someone to confirm, and only after that did her attitude change. The interaction was uncomfortable and disappointing. After checkout, we were charged nearly $200 for stained linens due to an accidental spill. While I take full responsibility for the spill and understand why a card is kept on file for incidentals, we were never notified that the charge was being made, nor were we informed at checkout that the linens were considered unrecoverable. I reached out to the property owner to discuss this respectfully and never received a response. Between the accessibility issues, the service animal interaction, the surprise charge without communication, and the lack of follow-up from management, I can’t recommend this property. Transparency and basic courtesy would have made a big difference.
