Rocky Drift Private Nature Reserve

There is nothing I didn’t like about this property. The location is amazing! The owners are excellent hosts. The restaurant is lovely and our house was very comfortable and clean. We went to get as much trail running in as possible and we were not disappointed. One of the best venues I’ve ever been at.

Amazing place to stay. Very quiet, the river flowing at your feet. Very child friendly as well. The food in the restaurant was high quality. The cottages are well furnished including good kitchen tools.

The coffee could be a bit better, a small detail.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang, schöne und ruhige Atmosphäre, unglaubliche Umgebung. Auf jeden Fall eine Zwischenübernachtung wert auf dem Weg von oder zu Kruger Nationalpark.

Leider waren wir zu kurz dort. Abends waren viele Insekten draußen, sodass die Außenanlage kaum nutzbar war. Leider waren auch ein Paar Kakerlaken im Haus selbst.

Le calme, le bruit de la rivière et les jeux pour les enfants sont supers tout autant que des petits espaces détentes pour les adultes.

This is the perfect location if you a nature lover and want to immerse yourself in nature, in a quiet place that has been beautifully landscaped and the river is a bonus as it gives a peaceful atmosphere for relaxation. The room was clean and very functional for all my needs.

One area that could be improved is the hiking trail infrastructure, especially at river crossings. Some of the crossings are quite a challenge, with slippery rocks that make it unsafe to pass. I personally struggled and even fell into the water while trying to cross. Adding small bridges or simple crossing aids would greatly improve safety and accessibility for visitors.
