Absolutely nice setting in the bush. Good dinner and breakfast. Clean facilities. Helpful staff. Comfortable bed and chalet.

Nothing, all good

Phokoje has undergone a serious transformation in terms of housekeeping and cleanliness since we stayed the last time. A remarkeable feat despite the challenging economic conditions of the region. Very tasty food at the restaurant, congratulations to the chef and kitchen staff for keeping up the quality!

We would love to see more patrons at the lodge and the restaurant, locals and tourists alike, to keep this establishment going for a long time. Some regular and simple food items were not available or in short supply at the restaurant, and it seems like the serving staff were not even bothered by it (as if they did not care or could not help it). On the second day of our stay, it was mostly solved by informing the day before what we wanted to eat for dinner on the next day.

The room was filthy, and we were moved to another one. We were four sharing one bathroom, shower only. We were denied wifi for 4 days, only made available on the second last day.. The staff tried to help, but it would never work only until when more guests arrived , the wifi was made available. Bring your own iron. Explore your choices for comfortable and economical stay

There are very high humps in the lodge. Our car was almost damaged by the humps three of them. The staff was very helpful to our 😊.

The location is good and the scenary around is great.

The service we received at the reception was really bad, I had to pay extra taxes that were already included on booking.com, Also the fact that we can't do a open fire or braai, it kills the entire purpose of a "Bush Lodge", Improvements on some of the property, adding a stove and microwave wouldn't hurt as it is a self catering accommodation. Also unnecessary humps inside the lodge were badly constructed, it damaged my car, driving in at night is bad so improved lighting would go a long way maybe a large solar lamp.

Breakfast was good and the locations is excellent being just out of town.
