Location

The hotel was advertised in Booking as one with air conditioned, but when checked in I was told that the AC was not working, but that they would give me fan. This is an old hotel where the AC seems to be a recurrent issue, and not a minor one (specially one of the hottest days of the year) for which the administration should take more responsibility (not simply offering a drink). For instance, my reservation was not refundable but in cases like this it should always be, as it is not being delivered what is offered on the reservation process. Had I knew that there is no AC -contrary to what is advertised on Booking-, I would have paid more somewhere else for having a good night of sleep. It is also a bit annoying that they ask for a 30EUR deposit. This is the only hotel in NL I've seen (and I've been in many) that ask for such a deposit. They don't check anything on the room when checking out, so I don't see what's the point of that. This just signals that the hotel doesn't trust you as a guest. I suggest reconsider this policy.

Lovely hotel in a great area. The beds are super comfortable, breakfast great and staff also friendly. You can hire bikes and go to the beach.

When we arrived I was upgraded to an exec room, but the air con wasn’t very good and room not great to be honest (I only knew this because my friend also booked an exec room which was lovely). Luckily I asked to change back to the double I booked which was still available and that was a lovely room. I think rooms on the street can be noisy but ones at the back are quiet.

Ligging super en erg mooi gebouw.

Ontbijt werd slecht bijgevuld , terwijl we er rond half 10 waren en was mogelijk tot 11. Tevens functioneerde de airco niet, kregen wel ventilator maar was niet voldoende.

Zeer centrale ligging, mooie gemeenschappelijke ruimtes, rustige kamer met zicht op het koninklijk paleis!

Kamer verdiende kleine 'make over' (had zelfs geen stoel) en.. Nederlandsonkundig personeel aan de receptie?
