Pompei Domus Michaeli Bed & Breakfast

The location was ideal for our planned visit to the archaeological site of Pompei. Thanks to the public and free parking lot directly at the accommodation (in a quiet side street), this issue was ticked off straight away. It was just a 20-minute walk to our POI. The B&B is housed in an apartment building which exudes a certain morbid charm from the outside. However, the rooms are beautifully designed, very clean and technically up to date. Our room had a small but very well-equipped and clean bathroom. We were also happy about good air conditioning (life-saving in July 😅) and a refrigerator. Breakfast was only available for an additional charge, but there was free water, tea and espresso as well as biscuits in a shared kitchen. From the balcony facing the street you had a beautiful view of the Vesuvius volcano. The host was very friendly and helpful. Our son also immediately felt very comfortable because of the hospitality he experienced. We can only recommend the B&B. The authentic backyard idyll in particular had its own charm for us. Away from the mainstream and a little closer to the everyday life of the residents. This was due not least to the acoustic experience of the house being quite noisy.

You have to be able to accept the lack of soundproofing in the house. Otherwise we had nothing to complain about.

The location is a bit off center in an unpleasant neighbourhood and the building is run down.

We had a good time in Domus Michaeli B&B. Good Contact with owner, very helpful. Room was clean with everything you can need on holiday.

Nice place to stay not far from Pompei itself. An apartment in an ordinary apartment building is redesigned to a tiny hotel. Nice design and cool stay.

The property contacted us ahead of time with essential information regarding location and parking facilities. The room was equipped with everything needed for a nice stay including a fridge. A kettle, coffee and making equipment as well as cookies were available in the common area. The hosts gave us recommendations for a restaurant for dinner and the best way to visit the Pompei ruins. Overall very happy.
