Protaras Villa Kalena Seafront

The location is fantastic. Close to 4-5 best beaches in all of Cyprus. The restaurants and bars are also a couple of minutes away, making it perfect for night walks if you. The villa itself is large and very nice, with 3 bedrooms upstairs, one bedroom in semi basement level and another room in the basement. Each bedroom has its own bathroom which was perfect. The checkin and checkout was smooth, with the key being left in a special designated secured key fog. We were allowed yearly checkin which was very kind of the management of the property. The pool is very good and the upstairs terrace is simply amazing. The upstairs has also has a barbecue area which was also very good for us. We will definitely return back.

One of the rooms had a sewer smell. However, it was resolved quickly. Maybe to avoid these issues in the future, the showers drain pipes could be fitted with a one way drain valve and the problem would be resolved indefinitely.

Rigtig god beliggenhed tæt ved by og strand. Poolen var dejlig og ren ved ankomst. Huset er fint, køkkenet veludstyret. Rigtig gode senge. Ok wifi.

To af badeværelserne lugtede meget af kloak. Lidt stressende checkout. Rengøringen kom en halv time før checkout da der kom nye gæster efter os.

No heating in the pool, also nothing to keep the heat that build up during the day. Many floors = many steps

Excellent communication with the host, we had no problems finding or getting in the house. Independent and easy checkin/checkout. The location is amazing, away from the tourist hotels and very close to stairs to sea (the bay has turtles that occasionally come to shore), which are a much better option to dive into the sea than the big beaches on the other side. The living space is big and spacious, same goes for the patio and the pool. The bathrooms, rooms and kitchen were clean, and there were many dishes and amenities available to us. The fact that every room had its own bathroom is amazing. The pool had fresh, circulating water. A single parking spot is also available in front of the house, partially covering your car from the elements. If you need more parking, there's a big free parking area on the other side of the house. A convenience store and a okay-ish restaurant are a short walk away. The deposit was returned one day after checkout.

It looks a tiny bit more run down than the photos - mainly just tattered walls and stained outdoor furniture, but nothing too bad. The air conditioning did not work in one of the upper rooms, which was not communicated (a fan was in the room when we arrived). We also found one singular roach in a room on the lower floor when we arrived, but no other during our stay.
