Stayed in a cottage room which was located beside main hotel. Lovely clean room with kitchen facilities if required. Fabulous fresh breakfast in main hotel. Also had dinner in bar which was excellent. There was live music which was a nice surprise. Short walk into village for the ferries to the islands.

Room was good and the outdoor area was nice. Music on two nights was good.

Being under pressure at breakfast time was contrary to the holiday atmosphere. Everything was cleared away within five minutes (I timed it) of reaching 10 o’clock with no Lea way for late arrivals. The hotel’s website is misleading. It states that breakfast is served from 8 to 12. It is only explained in a separate section, not immediately obvious, that it ends at 10 for residents and 10 to 12 applies only to non-residents. In our six days in the hotel, no one welcomed us or enquired if we were happy with everything. The staff were excellent and super efficient but lacking in training in hospitality.

Staff exceptionally helpful; Breakfast excellent; Roast beef dinner(tho' not a roast beef fan) the best I've ever had.

Not much to dislike. One suggestion: I felt that soups and fish dishes were marginally bland and that perhaps they could have benefitted from the addition of a little more black pepper in the preparation. However, that is a minor point.

The room was huge and spacious, and the bed was very comfy. Staff, service and breakfast was great. Our only issue was the cleanliness of the room, we found a cockroach in the bathroom and a couple of beetles in and around the room.

Very convenient to Baltimore. Easy to walk or get a taxi into the village. Lovely outdoor area for food and drinks. Room night, airy and spotless.
