"Not worth the money"

Room had a badly stained carpet, it was clean, but tired. Tiles in the bathroom needed a good scrub and re grouting. Have stayed in a travel lodge and got more room and got better value for money.

"Great old hotel"

Lovely and peaceful and very scenic. The staff are super helpful and friendly and the food was lovely in the restaurant. Well worth the visit.

"Beautiful venue but for us it wasn’t really worth the cost"

The decor, the grounds were lovely. Reception staff were helpful.

No plugs by the bed - a problem for all of our group but particularly for me as I need to plug medical equipment in at night. Some of the staff seemed a little impatient with our group - particularly our children who weren’t causing a problem and better behaved than many of the older rather drunken guests staying there. The Spa closes early on a Saturday evening which was the only time I could have used it and had been looking forward to it, but didn’t get to use it as a result.

"Trip to Darlington"

Really enjoyed our stay at Blackwell Grange, the staff were all very friendly, and the food in the restaurant was very good. I wish we could have stayed longer as I didn't get the chance to use the spa.
