Hotel Indigo - Stratford Upon Avon by IHG

Convenient for town centre and theatres.

Problems with paying for parking using app and machine. Cost of breakfast, acceptable for large breakfast but not for some of the alternatives.

The location is great, right in the centre of Stratford, and the heart of the hotel is a lovely old building. The rooms are nicely designed.

We asked for a quiet room. The request was logged months ago and we were assured on check-in that it had been honoured. In fact, we were given a ground floor room right by the street with little or no soundproofing. It felt like passers-by were talking by our bedside, and that cars were driving through our room. Breakfast was ok, but the hot food, ordered at and served to our table, had clearly been under a warmer in the kitchen and was dried up. Most service people were good, but the check-in person seemed disinterested.

The hotel was a bit over priced and we waited 20 minutes to be served breakfast and breakfast was not the best.

The room was small but decorated beautifully.

Having to explain at check in and check out that the room was paid for. I found that embarrassing and very disappointing. That should be better. Breakfast was very poor, waiting for a table, waiting to order, food delivered was at best average and certainly not value for money. Should be better

We had pre-paid for our breakfast and weren’t disappointed. There was plenty of choice, presented well, the service was a combination of waitress and self service, which worked well. The food ordered was delivered quickly and was tasty and well cooked.
