Radisson Aquatica Resort Barbados

Even though the hotel is a bit dated and in need of modernising I had a wonderful time. Adrian the Bar man and Selwyn the waiter was outstanding. They were very friendly polite and welcoming. The restaurant manager was awesome also. Thank you all for an enjoyable holiday.

Majority of the staff is very nice… the front office, desk, bellman, security, bartenders all made me feel welcomed and nearly at home. I arrived mid week so breakfast is a la carte i ordered breadfruit and frizzled salt fish which wasn’t bad was a bit oily. I finished eating my main dish and was just people watching and taking in the little breeze as I sipped my coffee. I asked for more coffee and water she brought me water and started clearing my table and brought my check. I felt rushed like I needed to scurry along even though it was only 0830am. Another waitress apologized and got me some coffee. I had the chance to do brunch and it was nice enjoyed the Salish and provision the breadfruit had a bitterish flavor so I didn’t eat it, the pancakes had a lovely color but was sorta sweet and cinnamon like, the bacon was nice as well. The juices wasn’t too sweet and of course I had my coffee and water. The welcome rum punch is very tasty with a good bite to it. I enjoyed the random Fabian inspired drinks he made.. The WiFi SUCKS like barely exists.. the business computer must have little bots inside typing in ones and zeros to connect and load a page. The telephone didn’t work they tried to accommodate by allowing me to use the main desk phone but the business center and phone base was out of range. The room was pretty much as described.. the plumbing makes lots of sounds and the toilet was hard to flush. Really missing a microwave which would complete the room. Overall great location, great view of the ocean, local entertainment and good restaurants and bars with smiling faces to greet you. I’d return for another stay even though this trip was gloomy with the final services to lay my father to rest… I’d come back and reflect..

I do not recommend staying at this hotel. The property is in very poor condition—chipped paint, visible water damage, mildew, stains, and general dirt throughout. The mildew in my room was so overwhelming that I requested to be moved, only to find the same issues in the next room. While waiting at the front desk, I overheard another couple expressing similar complaints about their room. I’ve attached photos so you can judge for yourself whether this is where you’d want to spend thousands of dollars for a stay.

Stay was okay for a quick trip out to Barbados. It is nice to go out on the beach in the morning to see the horses but all the hustling trying to happen became annoying. Not really conveniently located to much but transportation is available. The bartenders were extremely kind and I like they do salsa night on Fridays. Again, it was alright for a brief stay but not anything to call home about. Wouldn’t return.

Glad I chose this hotel for a last minute trip with my son. Perfect location, 2 minute walk to get public transport, taxi’s have been readily available when I’ve asked at reception. 7 mins walk to a lovely outdoor beachfront basketball court open all hours. No sargassum/seaweed in front of the hotel (Pebbles beach) - it’s perfect and not too crowded, plus you can walk between 5-10 minutes on the beach front to brownes beach, savvy or boatyard. All of the hotel staff are personable, kind, really helpful and give you the warm feeling you need on holiday. My son turned 17 whilst here and they surprised him with a cake, card and non alcoholic drink which really made his day (I completely forgot to get him a birthday cake so they saved me :) ) my son eats the hotel breakfast and loves it! Buffet around 65bds during busy periods and weekends, set menu during the week (low season) approx 30bds for his pancakes, bacon, beans, hot drink. The gym is good, probably the 3rd best hotel gym we’ve used on the island. Haven’t used the pool because the sea is tranquil and perfect, so swim my lengths there. There a roti place, burger and Chinese 2 mins away where you get public transport. Planning to extend for another week or two and seriously considering staying here.

Prime location but facility needs a serious upgrade

The hotel was the worse hotel I have ever stayed in. The hotel is run down and in need of a full renovation. There was a water leak a roof collapsed in hotel and dangerous balcony with cracks everywhere. The picture on BA holiday site was misrepresenting of the hotel and I feel this hotel should not be advertised to stay, as it’s a hazard. The best bit of the hotel was the beach and staff were lovely.

Staffs are friendly, super convenient to the beach. Nice and calm waves, kids friendly hotel.

As other reviews have mentioned, yes, the property is somewhat dated. Outside could use some reconditioning. Some updates to the restaurant area would be nice as well. But overall my family was very comfortable at this hotel. Room was good and bathroom had a double sink which was helpful. Other reviews complained about the AC. Ours was working perfectly and was nice and cold. Also the location was very nice right on the beach. But the best part of this hotel was the staff. Each person we spoke too was very helpful and friendly. And the tour desk representatives were extremely helpful! So in summary, I found the Radisson, comfortable, friendly, and in a good location. If your looking for fancy and plush there are other hotels on the island. But in my opinion, the Radisson was fine.

Overall a run down property, location is excellent but staff need training. sorry to say i wont be back. with that said same owner from what i understand to radisson TT and radison Grenada and i love grenada.
