Great place

The staff at the Royal were very friendly & helpful. Rooms were clean. Pillows were great, mattress springs had "sprung".... not enough blankets.

I always like to stay in pubs when I can, beautiful old building with original fixtures is great, perfect for my needs and I’ll probably stay again if in town. Thanks to Grant.

Worst experience overall.

Should be listed as a backpackers, no policing on men using ladies ammenities, told where I could make coffee but when I was desperate for a coffee in the morning all that was there was a jug, didn’t know if I was supposed to supply the makings, no ammenities in the room just the bed. However the bed was clean and comfortable, the hall light beaming above the door into the room made falling asleep a task, banging doors along the hallway. The restaurant served large delicious meals, so large I couldn’t finish mine. Check out is carry luggage down the stairs, out the back door via beer garden around the entire building to car parked in the street. This property suitable for back packets, I would never choose to stay there again

Rooms were tiny and no housekeeping service. Amenities were substandard.

It was standard pub accommodation. The room and facilities were quite basic but that is what you expect from the price. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The building itself has some nice architecture inside. The on street parking is free overnight, but you have to pay from 9am.
