Although I contacted them in writing, 2 weeks before the accommodation, they did not respond to me. They knew I had the accommodation without free cancellation and that the amount blocked on the card for the accommodation was not refunded; they did not cancel or notify Booking of the problem. When I arrived at the accommodation, no one answered the intercom, the 2 landline numbers - only voicemail, and the mobile phone that they told me to contact when I was close to the accommodation was switched off. Furthermore, I learned from a fruit and vegetable shop across the street that the owner of the B&B had died in March, so a month ago, and that the deceased's descendants had fooled other tourists. Under no circumstances should you book here again, you will wake up like me with nowhere to stay. I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to Daniela, the customer support representative from Booking, who was my angel in those crazy moments and advised me properly on how to proceed, with a real human understanding of the desperate situation that I was in.

I'll leave it at that, my repeated attempts to contact the accommodation before I went there If it's true that the owner passed away in March of this year, then Booking should delist this property, so that other tourists don't have to go through what I went through. Luckily, I worked out with some locals who helped me find another accommodation, but if my plane hadn't been arriving at noon, what would I have done alone in the evening in a foreign country?
