Log Cabin in the Field

So peaceful and relaxing

This property has the rustic feel of an old log cabin. The lighting is adequate the decor is old but what do you expect in a cabin setting. The outside is great. Very well maintained. The inside cabins need some attention though.

The cabinet for towels was falling apart and needed to be fixed. I honestly think the room could be configured with better storage and table top area but rustic is what your going for then that’s what you get. As for the carpet on the walls, honestly I get it for a sound barrier but we could hear everything going on behind us so that didn’t work as intended. Plus if you have allergies not the best decision to make.

Nice property and the host was very friendly and helpful.

The property is close to I-64, downtown Huntington and other locations. Definitely a superb value considering the higher prices of hotels these days. Located in a large grassy property surrounded by trees. 2 convenience store nearby were within a few minutes walking distance from the property. All amenities were provided. Fridge, microwave, Keurig with coffee provided, TV with free Netflix etc. and a good WIFI connection. There is a pool and fire pit and one of the other units has a hot tub. The front porch has comfy chairs and a swing which we enjoyed, and the lighting that comes on after dark. We also met Rick who is a very friendly host and owner. Will definitely book again if the convention is in Huntington, or for other events.

There was some traffic noise, but not an issue after rush hour.
