Costa Paraiso

Awesome drinks and delicious low key meal here. Great, relaxed, fun venue. We stopped by on our way out of town. Great rocky beach to explore and awesome huge iguanas to photograph. So glad we decided to stop, perfect end to our Costa Rica trip!

This small lodge has incredible views of the ocean, but we enjoyed the restaurant just as much! The food was very good and the service was outstanding. Even though we were not guests of the lodge they made us feel as though we were. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Costa Paraiso and its staff truly represent the graciousness and courtesy of the Costa Rican culture. Everyone was so accommodating and helpful. We always looked forward to going to the restaurant, patio and pool area not only because of the view, but because the servers (particularly Daniela and Laura) and cooks were so personable. Both the food and its presentation were delightful, and we didn't mind if sometimes the wait for our meals was a little long (why rush when you're in such an incredible setting?!). When the tide comes in, it's mesmerizing to watch the water and rocks and how close you are to it. Loved seeing all the little creatures.....iguanas, hummingbirds, bats, unknowns......around the property. The landscape man has his hands full to keep the grounds tidy, particularly during the rainy season! Maybe someday we'll get to visit a third time.

Absolutely loved the hotel & nearby area. Lots of outdoor adventures to explore, and in June you feel like it’s just you there! Thunderstorms start anywhere btwn 2pm & 8pm in June, & doesn’t stop til early AM, but we really enjoyed that aspect - relaxing on the porch & watching the light show. Restaurant was amazing- great food, service, & views! Rooms were big & clean with comfortable beds. My wife & 5 year old son loved our daily adventures, Lots to see & do witching 45 min drive to north, south, & east. Highly recommend it!

We had a peaceful few days to finish our month in Costa Rica. We enjoyed Pavones, but found that it was very remote (have to drive for an hour just to get gas for the car!) Dominical is a perfect blend of peaceful, empty beaches with enough people to have some services (gas, food stores, great restaurants) and meet interesting people. Costa Paraiso is the perfect spot to enjoy the beaches, a lovely pool, great onsite restaurant and lots of things to do.
