The location is excellent

The biggest issue was the completely automated check-in process. I was not aware when booking that there would be no reception on the premises and no direct phone support available. If you have a problem, the only way to contact the property is via WhatsApp, which is far from ideal when you need immediate assistance. Access to the property is unnecessarily complicated. There are two gates to enter the complex, and the lock on the Via Fratti gate is broken. The only way to open it is by reaching your hand through the fence and trying to locate the keyhole from the outside, which is particularly difficult at night and when carrying luggage. The check-out process is also poorly designed. There is no key drop box near the exit gate. Since both gates of the complex require a key to open, guests must remember NOT to leave the keys in the room before exiting. This means opening the gate of the complex, walking to the building where the rooms are located, climbing two flights of stairs to the room, leaving the keys there, then going all the way back down and walking to the complex gate again to exit. If you forget and leave the keys in the room before getting out of the complex, you can easily find yourself locked inside with no staff on site to assist and no one available to speak to on the phone. Overall, the lack of staff presence, the difficult access arrangements, and the impractical check-in/check-out procedures made the stay much more stressful than it should have been. Had these issues been made clearer before booking, I would likely have chosen a different property.
