Nice place

The front desk was amazing during our 4 day stay. Kim who we nicknamed Kimpossible was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area. My wife was there for an art class in Mineral Point and I had to knock around on my own for 3 days. Kim ensured I saw the best of the area. She always had a smile and friendly chat. The breakfast was better than the other hotels we have recently stayed in. There was wasted space in our suite that I wish they would have turned into an extra hanging clothes area. That is really the only negative about the stay.

Friendly staff, clean facility, good breakfast

I have never had a better staff experience at a hotel. They were kind, helpful, and welcoming. The room was exceptionally clean and smelled like nothing which is exactly what I want in a room. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was good. The pool area was a clean as it possibly could be with its age. The water didn’t even smell which shows they also take the time to balance their chemistry. Would 100% stay again and was definitely the best experience I have had at a hotel.

Overall it was a wonderful stay. EXCEPT for the barking dog near our room. Don't know where the owners were but I ended up having use earplugs because of the yapping. People can be so inconsiderate. Hotel staff should endeavor to keep rooms with dogs separated from other guests.

Pros- The staff is very friendly. The rooms seemed very clean. Breakfast was a nice offer- continental style with several options. There is a fridge (no freezer) in the room as well as a microwave. I appreciated the makeup wipes. The location is very convenient for the activities we had planned for our short trip. Cons- we picked this hotel for its proximity to nearby attractions and the fact that it had a pool. The pool and hot tub heating elements were not functioning correctly. The hot tub was about 95 degrees and pool was 72. This rendered the pool too cold for swimming, much to my kiddos disappointment. We also requested more towels and pillows (they were weird sized squares?), which staff said they would bring. They did not bring them. Asked a second time and they were still not brought to the room. The tv was very difficult to figure out - we had to google the remote to even learn that it was impossible to interact with the TV guide so we could not scroll and click on a show, or jump ahead to the next hour block. Overall we would return, but definitely would keep the cons in mind for the next trip.
