GBI loved the location. A short drive to St Andrews but far enough out to feel secluded and private. Lovely house with beautiful views out to the garden.
We felt that the living room floor hadn't been cleaned properly - white flakes on the rug which we had to hoover and we had spilled some water on the floor and when I wiped it up the kitchen roll was dirty.
GBCosy and comfortable accommodation. It is very well equipped and super clean. Excellent spot for our dogs with the private garden. Washing machine was a bonus. 13 mins from St Andrews and not much longer to Crail and Anstruther.
Just a small detail but not a gripe, the garden on the whole needed a tidy up and the decking and flagstones at the doors could have done with a pressure wash. It was quite wet when we arrived and felt we were trailing in dirt from the main entrance.

USWonderful architecture in a private retreat-like area. The house and grounds are quite beautiful and there’s a nice flow to the interior. Lovely setting. Good hot water and shower pressure and fairly well equipped kitchen especially if the kettle is replaced. Gorgeous picture windows and a feeling of being in a nature retreat that’s not too far from town by car
The internet almost never worked likely due to an outdated system/antenna, which was a struggle for us because we actually needed to access it at the time. There was some construction/farm noise as well but when that stopped the setting is quite serene and peaceful. Mattresses are sloping and would benefit from an update to prevent back pain in guests with muscular-skeletal needs.

Fussed about non working bathroom fan and failed and failing mirror lights. A maintenance issue.

GBLocation, privacy, quiet, nature. Owner quickly responded to wifi failing and being erratic.
One bedroom upstairs but no toilet, and as we’re elderly, not a very safe set-up in the middle of the night! Living room extremely small. Everywhere badly in need or refurbishment, but especially kitchen and bathroom (no shaving/toothbrush charging point in latter). NO DISHWASHER. Some utensils broken or absent. We stayed ten days, but there was no linen change. There was little opportunity to go for a walk in the locality as we were surrounded by private land and were warned in no uncertain terms about treading on various neighbours’ property!
