Granastaðir Guesthouse

Tolle ruhige Lage in der Natur, etwas abseits aber nur 25 Minuten von Husavik entfernt. Die Unterkunft war groß und die Ausstattung sehr hochwertig. Die Pflegeprodukte waren sogar von einer isländischen Marke. Die Gemeinschaftsküche war so, wie man sich eine wünscht. Top ausgestattet mit gratis Tee und Kaffee, ausreichend Geschirr, einer Geschirrspülmaschine, und einem Gemeinschaftskühlschrank. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben.

Todo muy limpio y decorado con gusto. La cocina muy bien equipada. Se aparca gratis en la puerta. Cerca había caballos islandeses.

No breakfast was offered. There was a small kitchenette in our room which was more of a guest house, and not in the main house. There is also a larger kitchen at the front of the guesthouse.

It was a bit of a trek from Husavik, with about 10 min or so on a gravel road. Good conditions on the road but you move slower. The room made up for the more lengthy trek. Also to note for all of Iceland, there is no air conditioning and it can be hard to get some ventilation in the rooms. If only fans were provided.

We had a great stay. The guesthouse is really nice, surrounded by a nice garden with a greenhouse, with a view of a waterfall and a lot of nature in general. The kitchen was just next door and well equipped, but we also had a small kitchen area in our room! And I was really happy about the hot chocolate powder with marshmallows waiting for us there :) The room was really nice and comfortable. We would definitely come back here if we return to Iceland!
