Bella Vista Resort Zanzibar

Very very friendly staff. Breakfast was really good as well as other food items on the menu for lunch and dinner. The room was really big and was cleaned every day. Housekeeping staff made cute decorations on the bed with fresh towels every single day 😄 the pool was superb, the seating/chill area was totally insane with the different swing seats and beds overlooking the ocean- totally relaxing. Great views of the garden and ocean and interesting wall paintings all around. This property is just as presented in pictures if not better!

As with a few bathrooms in Zanzibar, ours had this unhygienic smell that was just pretty much in the entire room. At some point when flushing the toilet, the water would go up as if it were to spill out before actually going away, then occasionally it leaked dirty water into the shower area... Just not smelling ok all the time.😬 We were charged a ridiculous extra 5% for our bills for paying with card- this was extremely disappointing since it was never mentioned anywhere or at any point during our stay (only learnt of it last night of our stay when paying for all bills).

we never had a good breakfast, the menu that was available, never had what was advertised, there was no butter for all 7 days, there was no honey for pancakes on any one day, we had to have what was available on the day, i bought my own butter, very dissappointing, when i complained the manager told me "at least you ate"

we enjoyed everything to the fullest. the breakfast was nice, location was good we meet good friend at the resort, the room was good and clean,

The rooms are spacious, clean, the beds are comfortable and tastefully decorated with a mix of traditional, the food is delicious, breakfast was good, the restaurant offers a la carte option for lunch and dinner,the resort is quiet and peaceful area close to some of the island top attraction include jozani forest
