Senja Hotell

Ble spurt om å bytte til nabohotellet Finnsnes hotell og skulle få minst like bra rom der. Det var ok for oss. Rommet var greit nok for en natt. Fikk ikke info om at det var billigere å stå parkert utenfor hotellet isteden for på parkering i bakgården. Knøttlite bad og sjelløst gammelt lite rom. God seng, men varmt og en god del støy fra trafikken i sentrum. Bra frokost.

It is an older establishment but seems to be well maintained. It has a very nice English style pub,.but unfortunately it was only open on Friday and Saturday, but we had a very nice breakfast there in the morning. Its a small town business, so if you arrive late be prepared to call someone to be checked in. Fortunately there was a gentleman inside and opened up for us as soon as he saw us. Very freindly and quick check-in and free parking around back of the hotel. Lots of shopping malls within a 30 second to 3 minute walk and restaurants within steps of the front door. Great location.

Ei ollut respahenkilöä, mutta homma hoitui hienosti. Ilmainen parkkipaikka. Aamiainen hyvä, lämpimän leivän kanssa

Breakfast was fine (not incredible but ok)

The heating didn’t work in our room, which in the middle of the month of March when it’s freezing and snowing outside seems completely ridiculous. Additionally, we discovered it ourselves (the host at the reception didn’t let us know). There was a small heating fan instead but which didn’t make up at all for the broken heater. The temperature remained cold in the room all night. Very disappointing

Ganske gammelt hotell. Ingen mulighet for å regulere temperatur på rommet (kun av/på på ovn). Svært litt til gang/andre rom og gate

Kom om kvelden og reiste tidlig neste morgen, så det handlet kun om å slappe av og sove. Gode senger og stort fint rom. Litt nært gata med mye biler som kjørte forbi.

Location was perfect-on the doorstop of Senja and we hired a car and drove round which was stunning…no natural light pollution so we saw the Aurora brilliantly at night

Hotel was fine, old but really clean and warm, breakfast was OK…good price for 2 nights-half what we paid for 2. Nights in Tromso!

Cleanliness of the room on very high level. Good atitude of all the people working in the hotell. They do a good job as a hotell and they are much better than many of other hotells with big names. Great design of the rooms, very cosy and warm. Delicious breakfast made with love, and you really can taste it.

Greit hotellrom, akkurat som beskrevet, og akkurat det jeg var ute etter.
