Avon Gorge by Hotel du Vin

Excellent service, very welcoming and well set up to make it an easy stay as we were travelling with our dog.

It's the most beautiful location in Bristol and very well situated next to the shops, bars and restaurants of Clifton Village. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant in the hotel is excellent.

The room was very small, for the price. We were staying in one of the cheaper rooms, but given the style of hotel, location and price, you would expect a bit more space. The location more than makes up for this however.

The setting is very pleasant and the rooms always comfortable, classy and clean. Cooked breakfast especially good.

Parking is limited.

Wow, what a location! The views are stunning. Amazing to walk out the door and stand on this famous bridge and cliff within a few minutes. Room so nicely decorated and bathroom brand new and pretty. Shared areas beautiful too. Staff super kind, supportive, friendly. Breakfast amazing!

There was a bit of noise, but you can’t avoid squeaky floors in such an old heritage building. I also went on a public holiday long weekend so there were more people up late at night.

Location and room size

Fantastic location with views of the bridge from our bedroom. Well equipped room and en-suite. Comfortable bed. Didn’t have breakfast as an abundance of cafes to choose from in Clifton all within walking distance.
