Great Southern Killarney

Fabulous staff, friendly and service oriented yet warm and sincere. The room was large and comfy, very quiet. Excellent breakfast spread and cooked items to order as well. The Nespresso machine and water service much appreciated. Brownes is a nice dinner option. So convenient to the train station.

Could use a few more hangers in the wardrobe.

Lovely grand hotel with excellent spar and swimming pool

Excellent central location, near the main downtown area. Fabulous service, friendly staff, comfortable, clean rooms. We had an enjoyable stay and would recommend this hotel anytime.

Pretty nice size rooms but they are in bad shape. Imagine a room with no thermostat - you get what you get for room temperature. Never experienced this even in the worst hotels. Glad it was not summer! They must have a hot water issue. One of the evenings at 10:30 PM the shower water was barely over room temperature. Bathroom had large window with a sheer see through curtain. I could go on……room safe was nonfunctional, One of the bathroom faucets was nonfunctional. On the positive side, the hotel lobby was beautiful. Lots of pleasant areas to sit. Bar area was relaxing. Good service and selection. Breakfast buffet was very good.

Our second stay at the Great Southern. Truly a wonderful experience. Everyone there is very friendly and happy to help. We love the fireplace, restaurant and Browne’s. We will definitely be back again.

Beautiful hotel with very friendly staff

We enjoyed our stay at the great southern staff were very friendly,breakfast was fabulous, the room was disappointing for an "executive king" it is just a king bed no bath. Also on check out we were told the bill was €300 more then what the conformation email had on it, I did feel in waiting while they sorted the issue that we would end up having to pay that price but they upheld what was written in the email. I would also suggest in the family changing area at the pool that a changing table be put on the wall somewhere as I had a 3 month old and had nowhere to change her I had to do it on my lap, I know there is one in the woman's changing area but I had her pram with me to put her into once I had her changed.
