Aethria Hotel

POSITIVES The staff were fantastic from the reception staff Fay & Costas, to the cleaners Anna, pool bar Nicholetta & Zoe. The cleanliness of the rooms and regular changing of towels & beds. We requested ground floor rooms and that is what we got. The pool bar served a selection of snacks adequate for lunch. Pool area spotlessly clean sunbeds were plentiful. Beautiful pool and gardens. Town area was a short distance away. NEGATIVES Could do with tea and coffee facilities in rooms. More fresh fruit at breakfast. Having to watch Eastern Europeans stuff their bags with lunch at breakfast time. This hotel catered for multicultural clients but did not enforce noise control. Air con was expensive.

Overall this hotel is great. The pool area is huge and there's are loads of sunbeds and umbrellas. It is one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed in. Breakfast was fine. As others have said fresh fruit would be welcome but the sweet and savoury pastries we're delicious. We found the staff efficient and courteous. The cleaners were super efficient, always around. Sometimes a bit too keen! Sheets and towels were changed daily. Hotel was a bit noisy. Would go back as great value for money, good location, and Thasos town was v interesting.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. We love it. It's in a great location with superb gardens and views of the mountains. Very clean. The staff are all very friendly. The breakfast is small but has a great choice that suits us. The only thing that could make it better would be fresh fruit. My father had a medical emergency in the middle of the night. We could not get in touch with our holiday rep however the night receptionist was amazing . All the staff helped us so much over the week. You could not ask for better staff! If you are going to Thassos then you must stay here.

The hotel is nice, but a specific lady from the staff, is just impossible rude. I was with my family playing some cards near the hotel bar, when the light suddenly off at around 23:20. Asked at the reception what happened, and the lady just said this is her job. Yes, she saw us but this is her job and she won't turn on the light back. And I just want to make it clear, with my family, playing cards....QUIETLY. Asked her name and she said that is the lady from this shift :) This horrible kind of person should never get near tourists.
