Villa Elhag Nile View

Apartment was really big with 2 bedrooms and living room. Beds were big and comfortable. Very nice roof with place to eat and relax. Tasty egyptian breakfest but quite small. Very friendly host.

We've booked different place but were located in Bella Vista hotel. Original place was closed due to some technical issues.

We are a family of 5 kids 3,5,13 and stayed 2 nights 3 days with Yasser and his team, and it was a home away from home. We were treated with respect and honesty and never felt like you were being screwed or taken advantage of. Yasser brought us out for breakfast the first morning and had breakfast in the apartment the second morning, which was fabulous as he asked what we wanted individually. He booked us the hot air balloon and a taxi to Aswan and brought us anywhere we wanted to go.He brought us to the old lady next door as the youngest wanted to see the chicken's and rooster, cows etc, and by boat to bananna island to see the monkeys and crocodile turtles etc with the sunset on the river on the way back. He also brought us temples, valley of the kings, obelisk market etc.They even left us alone in the complex with the pool to ourselves on the last day as my daughter was shy in swimming and sunbathing. You can walk 200m and get a boat 5 min across the Nile to the east side from the apartment also if you want to explore yourself, but the Egyptians can be fairly in your face when alone and be prepared to haggle and hard at times. There was always hot water and the place was always clean. If you want to see real Egypt and be comfortable, this is the place for you, and we would definitely go back🌞😁🥰

Was what we wanted and expected, so we don't have any negatives.

The property comprised only one very large upstairs apartment that could accommodate two lots of guests, with a spacious pool area, and uninterrupted views over the river and farming land. Overall there is a lot that needs to be done in the way of refurbishment, but this didn’t detract from our stay. We were the only guests and had the full attention of Yasser and his sons, the owners. They were excellent hosts and absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them. Rather than having to find a taxi for the day they drove us between the various sites and waited, and with some notice provided dinner by the pool - all at a fairly reasonable cost.

The property is a little isolated, with shops, restaurants, and the local ferry to the east bank being a fairly long walk - although tuk tuks were available.

Villa El Hag was a delightful stay due to the warmth and helpfulness of the host. He had a genuine interest that we have a good time on our vacation and that we have the experiences that we wanted the way we wanted them. This was our first time in Luxor and Egypt. The host made sure that we had transportation from the airport to the accommodations and arranged our local experiences (balloon ride, monument visits, sailing on the Nile, experiencing the local culture) at very . .reasonable prices (well below anything we found online in advance)

It wasn't clear in advance how much could be arranged by the host. This may have been our ignorance. There is a nearby mosque that can be a bit startling at 4:45a if you're not expecting it.

The staff were fantastic. So helpful. We used them to take us on excursions. The villa was so lovely, with beautiful views of the Nile and green fields. The gardens were full of fruit trees. The pool was fabulous. I wish I stayed longer.
