We had a great stay at this house. Built at the turn of last century, and greatly renovated recently, the new owners introduced all manner of modern convenience while maintaining the original spirit of the house. Our room was spacious, very well appointed, very quiet and private. There are some common spaces downstairs that we also enjoyed as well as a small terrace with a good view of the valley below. The owner gave us a tour of the house and presented its history, and it is evident that she takes great pride in hosting. The staff was also very attentive and responsive. A must if you consider staying at Covilhã.

The place designed not only on high professional level, but with great love to this house and its family history. All the amenities are just excellent, breakfast unbelievably good. Stayed one night only - big mistake :(

The house mixes old and new, is very original and at the same time is very cosy. We appreciated a lot the family rooms, nice beds and pillows! The breakfast was wonderful. Only stayed 1 night, but it was very comfortable.

This Guesthouse is a beautiful old style house with lots of antique accents and props. We had a big and lovely quiet room with own toilet and shower. The guesthouse is closely situated to the centre of the town. An ideal place to stay with very friendly and helpful staff. And the breakfast ...... super!! If you enjoy a taste of the past ..... we fully recommend this place!!!

We stayed 3 nights in this lovely guesthouse during our 3 week tour of Portugal and Northern Spain. We were given a great welcome by Paula and Filipe. Filipe spoke very good English and was very helpful with recommendations for restaurants, bars and places to visit. We really enjoyed seeing the family photos on the wall and hearing about the various artifacts in the house that had belonged to his grandfather. Paula was so lovely and communicated with us very well with the aid of google translate. The breakfast was I think the best we have ever had - even though there were only the 2 of us at the table each morning there was a marvelous selection of bread, meats, cheeses, cake, fresh fruit and eggs freshly cooked to order. Our room was lovely and we had use of the garage for our motorcycle which is very much appreciated. We will return to Casa com Historia the next time we visit the Serra da Estrella.

This family house has been restored with love into a wonderful b&b. Its result is a perfect combination of traditional atmosphere and modern comfort. The breakfast is marvellous and the staff is very helpful. It is located very conveniently for visiting Covilha and the Serra de Estrela. We are certainly thinking about returning as soon as possible.

The staff is wonderful, the breakfast is perfect, very nice tradicional building... all is set to give the best for the costumers. The dogs are welcome and very well treated. Location is very close to city center. I've asked the staff for a special surprise to my wife and kids and they exced all parameters, simply amazing.

We rented the whole house as 7 couples travelling by motorbike. It was absolutely perfect. Comfortable, excellent staff always willing to help and give advice. What a great breakfast, one of the best I've seen ever.

The b&b is very central located in Covilhã. Everything is at walking distance. The house itself is recently been renewed. So the furniture, bathrooms etc is brand new. But the old elements of the house are still visible. This together gives the house a really nice atmosphere. The breakfast is various and very good. We could choose from of a lot of food. The host picked us up from the train station because we arrived really late at 23h. The house is too far to walk. Otherwise you should take a taxi from the train station. I can really recommend this place!
