Che Nomadas Mérida Hostel

The female dormitory was spacious with storage under the beds, high ceilings, fans & clean showers & toilets in the room.

There was nowhere to relax other than next to the pool which was not maintained properly.

The pool/ facilities/ staff were great. Bathrooms clean, beautiful seat spaces.

Bed/ pillows were a little hard/uncomfortable for my neck/back.

This has been my best hostel experience ever! The staff, the dorms, the pool, the activities. This place feels like home. It's a walk away from the city centre and the staff are part of the amazing experience. They have the best recommendations and are always in a good mood! The activities organised by the hostel are worth it to explore Mérida and other places and it's a great way to get to know other travellers. There is a co working office indoors but plenty of space outdoor to work as a nomad. Swimming pool is very clean and refreshing. There are lots of things to do in the area and in the hostel there are some get togethers at night but by 11 PM it gets silent again. I will be back!

Location is good (25mn walk from ADO bus station, close to other tour departure), close to the center. The pool, the space in the room (I was in a female dormitoir), the 24h reception, room locker are large (but not high, might not fit a huge suitecase). They have few large locker outside the room if you need it outside of your checked time (should fit a cabin suitcase/ big bagpack). The manager (Alexis) is sweet and organising many tours, proposing some activities.

Some top bed are empty and covered by dust (avoid if you are allergic!). The music is playing hard from morning (about 9.30am) to late evening (about 11.30pm). From a part of the room you can hear very hard people checking in/out and people gathering at the table outside, just in front of the door. The kitchen furnitures are destroyed (all bumped pan, melted plastic tools etc). The fridge is full of old stuff, seems never cleaned (like broken raw eggs in plastic bag...). The fournitures (tables, pool bed...) are old and dirty/smelly. They do not provide towel or blanket (only a simple bed sheet, you need to ask for blanket and pay a deposit). No simple things provided such as paper or towel at the sink to dry your hands.

Excelente ubicacion, las camas muy cómodas y espaciosas, las instalaciones exteriores confortables, tranquilas, y esta hubicado cerca del centro.

This is a good place to party and meet new people. The staff put on a great function for New Year’s Eve. Great location. Outdoor seating was great.

There was a few flies in the room that were annoying. Dorms could use a bit of an upgrade for $20 a night. Slightly overpriced. Not really any hot water.
