It was very peaceful and the pool was amazing.

I rented this house for a family reunion, to house wife and I and my 2 brothers and a nephew. The house was large enough to accommodate all of easily, though we all stayed outside most of the time. The amenities it comes with made it so that we didn't have to pick up much to make us all comfortable. The water next to house didn't have any gators, good or bad is up to the renter but I was hoping to see some. The negatives were, the a/c wasn't working for the first few days we were there. When the interior temperature rose above 80 I finally called the manager and the next morning they had that fixed. Oh, the house phone doesn't work. I used it to call the manager but they couldn't hear me. Same thing when calling for Manatee tours, so don't rely on the house phone. I had to pay extra for the pool to be heated. The pool seemed to be warm but I don't think it was above ambient temperature, but it was comfortable enough so I didn't care. The hot tub however only worked 3 of 7 days, and only for a few hours on those days. The one day I needed it, when my parents were visiting, it wasn't on. I called the manager and left a message, a few minutes later the jets turned on, but didn't heat up for two more days. So, the house is nice, the surrounding area was beautiful and overall it was a pleasant stay, but if the pool is a why you are choosing this house, I'd look elsewhere.
